How do I Request an Estimate?

How long do Estimates Take?

We aim to have estimates turned around in three to five working days due to our ongoing workload and time to receive up-to-date costs for your project.

What will I Receive upon Completion of my Estimate?

We will provide pricing and labor hour calculations and all pricing that we receive from your suppliers. We will also provide a tender submission document tailored to your business, including all clarifications, inclusions, and exclusions associated with the project. All you need to do is conduct your due diligence, adjust your hourly rate and margins, and send it to your client.

What do your Material Takeoffs include?

We provide material takeoffs in an excel spreadsheet/ colored PDF. It includes a list of all material quantities/activities required for the project. All the items are listed division-wise and refer to the drawing from which the quantity is measured.

Do you Provide an Estimate only for Specific Trade/Divisions?

Yes, we can generate trade-specific material takeoffs. Sub-contractors and material suppliers can get quantity estimates for their specific trades like drywall, flooring only takeoffs, etc.

Which Software do you use for Estimation and Takeoffs?

We use PlanSwift , Bluebeam, Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, EBM for doing take-offs. The choice of software depends on project needs and client comfort with a certain software for doing take-offs.

What do you Need to do a Takeoff or Electrical Estimate?

Would you please email us the project drawings/plans and your takeoff/electrical estimate requirements for a free quote, including charges and turnaround time? After approval of the proposal, we will send you an invoice that can be paid online.

What Happens if Multiple Contractors Request the Same Project?

Your trust is our asset; we will not disclose your information or project quote to anyone outside our company. It’s part of our non-disclosure clause that if two clients with same project and scope hire us. HiTech Estimating will work with the one who came to us earlier and decline services for that job to other client. We deal professionally with clients.
